Training for Practicing Farmers
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Godda organizes need-based and skill-oriented training programmes for practicing farmers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and farm productivity. The training programmes cover improved crop production technologies, integrated nutrient and pest management, soil health management, climate-resilient agriculture, horticulture, livestock and fisheries management, natural resource management, value addition, and other location-specific agricultural technologies. These programmes facilitate the adoption of scientific farming practices and contribute to sustainable agricultural development and enhanced farm income.
Training for Rural Youth
KVK, Godda conducts vocational and entrepreneurship-oriented training programmes for rural youth with the objective of promoting self-employment and livelihood generation in agriculture and allied sectors. The training programmes include mushroom cultivation, dairy farming, poultry farming, goat rearing, beekeeping, fish farming, nursery raising, food processing, agri-entrepreneurship, and other income-generating enterprises. These initiatives help rural youth acquire technical skills, develop entrepreneurial capabilities, and create sustainable employment opportunities.
Training for Extension Functionaries
KVK, Godda regularly organizes training programmes for extension functionaries from line departments, non-governmental organizations, farmer producer organizations, and other development agencies. These programmes focus on recent advances in agricultural technologies, extension methodologies, climate-smart agriculture, government schemes, and emerging issues in the agricultural sector. The trainings strengthen the knowledge and capacity of extension personnel, enabling them to effectively transfer technologies and provide advisory services to the farming community.
